Zach Hatcher is the weekend meteorologist/reporter for WMBD and WYZZ.
He graduated in 2016 from the University of Tennessee at Martin with his degree in meteorology. While in college, he worked as a supplemental instructor where he helped students learn geography. Zach is Central Illinois proud and joins WMBD/WYZZ from WABG in Greenville, Mississippi. Not long after coming to Peoria, he spent 4 hours on-air, covering one of the biggest December tornado outbreaks since records began. Zach is a proud husband to his wonderful wife, Shanell, whom he married in 2018.
In his spare time, Zach enjoys being out in the elements, tracking storms, walking trails or playing tennis. You can catch him on WMBD and WYZZ every weekend.
