TOLLY TAYLOR

Tolly Taylor is the Operation Education investigative reporter for WSBT 22 News. He covers issues facing the education system in our area.

Before joining WSBT 22, Tolly lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he covered the Wolverines football and men’s basketball teams for the Detroit Free Press, the Chicago Tribune and Land of 10. Tolly spent time covering sports and politics in Providence, Rhode Island, Washington D.C., Chicago, Boston and Paris, France. Highlights include articles about the U.S. women’s national hockey team, covering an NFL game in London, the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine and Draft, reporting at the 2016 Republican and Democratic National Conventions, and interviewing the one pollster who accurately predicted the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Tolly was born and raised in Williamsburg, Virginia, home to unbearably humid weather and (possibly too many?) colonial reenactments. He attended Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. In 2016, he graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University with his masters in journalism. Tolly is excited to make the jump from print to on-air and to be a part of the WSBT 22 News team.
