TODD CONNOR

Todd Connor is an experienced journalist who anchors weekday evenings on WSBT 22 News at 5, 6 and 11 and WSBT 22 News on FOX at 10.

Todd is no stranger to the area or WSBT 22. He worked here (with the legendary Cindy Ward) in the mid 90s before leaving for New York, where he was one of the original anchors of FOX News Channel. While at FOX, Todd covered some of the biggest national and international stories, including 9/11. Todd was living in Manhattan when the World Trade Center came under attack, which led to assignments in Iraq and other parts of the Middle East. He also traveled to London to cover terrorist bombings and the Vatican to report on the illness of Pope John Paul II.

He also served as an anchor and correspondent for ABC News before eventually returning to the Hoosier state for a position in Indianapolis. He’s also worked in Terre Haute, Louisville, Kentucky and central Illinois, where he grew up and began his journalism career. Todd has weathered numerous hurricanes as well as lake-effect snowstorms, and always looks forward to reporting on positive stories of triumph, heroism and survival.

Todd is married to South Bend native Sheryl Matthys. They have two school aged children and two dogs. He enjoys spending time with his family at Lake Michigan beaches as well as playing and watching sports and attending his kids’ activities.
