Steve Alexander has more than 35 years experience in Broadcast Journalism. He is a reporter at WALA-TV. He has also served as Weekend Anchor/Reporter in New Orleans, Louisiana, Weeknight Anchor in Springfield, Missouri, and Evansville, Indiana, and News Director/Weeknight Anchor in Victoria, Texas before coming to Mobile as a reporter.

Through the years, he has won a number of local Press Club awards, and was awarded the George Washington Medal from the Freedoms Foundation in Valley Forge for a series traveling to Roatan, Honduras, to bring children back to the United States for medical treatment.

Steve is a native of New Orleans and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans.
