Most Memorable Assignments: I have been very lucky at WRAL to cover several huge sporting events from three straight Final Fours to Super Bowl 50 to the US Open at Pinehurst. My favorite assignment was the “Carrier Classic” when UNC played Michigan State on the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego. It was such a unique venue for college basketball and, as someone who grew up wanting to be a Navy Pilot, it was super cool to be on an active aircraft carrier! I now look forward to more memorable assignments on the news side.
