LEANNE TOKARS

Morning anchor Leanne Tokars is thrilled to be back at WSBT 22 News and back home.

You may remember her from her days reporting and filling in as an anchor for WSBT 22. Her report “Throwing Away Your Identity” uncovered how some governmental agencies were putting your identity at risk. The Indiana Associated Press awarded it “Best Investigative Report” in 2009.

Leanne has also reported and anchored in Terre Haute, Indiana and had an exciting internship at Fox News Channel in New York City.

However, there’s no place like home. Leanne enjoys spending time with her two young daughters, exploring and experiencing the community she grew up in.

Leanne graduated from the University of Notre Dame and St. Joseph’s High School.
