ERICA FINKE

A lover of the Midwest, Erica Finke moved from Illinois to begin her career as multimedia journalist for WSBT 22.

Erica grew up in Woodstock and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in music. Her journey though college started as a vocal performance and choral music education major before realizing her real passion was with journalism.

During her time at the university, Erica was an anchor, reporter, producer and news director for UI-7’s morning and daytime newscasts and completed multiple internships in the Chicago area including WTTW Chicago Tonight and WAND in Decatur, Illinois. Erica also served as the president of Delta Gamma Fraternity and the University of Illinois Panhellenic Council.

When she’s not at work, she’s probably singing, playing an instrument, weight lifting or doing yoga. If you see Erica, don’t be afraid to say hi or send her story ideas.
