I first want to say it’s an honor to work in the Miami Valley as ABC 22 and FOX 45’s morning anchor. I am an Ohio native and grew up in Northeast Ohio. I’m from an area now referred to as the rust belt, which is Youngstown. Dayton reminds me a lot of home, which is why I think I love this area and the hard-working blue collar people who live here.
I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in journalism. I am a true Buckeye fan, and bleed scarlet and gray. I love sports in general, but to be honest, I am not at all athletic.
While an Ohio native, I have worked at several stations in my career as a journalist. I started my career earlier than most. My senior year of college I was already working in my field. I had the privilege of working at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start my career, and better people to work with. After leaving Columbus, I moved out of state for the first time in my life. I was fortunate enough to get a morning anchor position at a small station in Winchester, Virginia. If you’ve ever been in the area, it is absolutely stunning.
I’m happily married and we have three incredible dogs. I am an animal lover, and some might think I go a little overboard when it comes to my furry friends, but I figure I can spoil them until I have kids.
While not at work, I love reading, spending time with my family and on occasion, traveling.
