Danielle Malagarie is a reporter at ABC 22/FOX 45.
She was born in Louisiana but calls Baytown, Texas home.
Danielle graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Sociology.
At the University of Houston Danielle co-anchored the Student Video Network’s newscast, @UH. She and a handful of students started this weekly show that still runs today.
After graduating she spent three years as an anchor, reporter and producer at KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas. During her time here she covered wildfires, flooding and the tragic death of a 13-year-old girl who was killed walking home from school. Danielle travelled to Fort Worth, Texas for the sentencing of the man who was found guilty in that murder trial.
Danielle also volunteered at the Wichita Falls Meals on Wheels, something her great grandmother did in Louisiana until she was in her 80s.
Danielle loves telling stories and meeting new people. When she’s not working she likes to ride her bike, try new restaurants and is a huge fan of game night!
