Chris Papst is the lead investigative reporter for Project Baltimore, Fox45’s ongoing investigation into Baltimore area public schools. He is a national award-winning reporter and best-selling author.
As an investigative reporter, Chris’ work has led to changes in state policy and the drafting of new state laws while sparking criminal investigations. As an author, his book, Capital Murder (April 2015), hit #1 on Amazon in three categories. His second book, Devolution – a novel – was released in the summer of 2016.
During his career, Chris’ investigative reports have been recognized with some of journalisms top national honors, including an Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) Awards, Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Delta Chi Award and five National Headliner Awards. He has earned dozens of regional awards including Emmys, Edward R. Murrow, Associated Press, PICPA and various State Broadcasters Association awards.
Twice, Chris appeared on The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News to discuss his exclusive welfare investigations. He has done multiple live shots for MSNBC, appeared on NBC Nightly News, CNBC, and was the focus of The Weather Channel documentary “Weather Caught on Tape.”
