Brittany Hardaway is a multimedia journalist with a passion for storytelling. She joined the WICS NewsChannel 20 team in August 2018. Brittany plans to use her platform to connect with the community and bring you stories that matter.
She’s so excited to be back in her home state, originally from the Southside of Chicago. Her love for television news began in high school and continued through her college years. Brittany obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (Go Salukis!) with a specialization in Electronic Journalism.
Before coming to WICS, Brittany was a weekend anchor/reporter for an ABC/CBS affiliate in Jackson, TN. Although she loved the southern comfort, it was time for her to make the move back to the Midwest!
Brittany is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
If Brittany isn’t at work, you can probably find her searching for the best hot wing spots in town! (Any suggestions on places to check out let her know!)
