Briana Collins joined the Fox Illinois team in December 2018 to co-anchor the evening newscasts. Previously, she spent three years producing, reporting, and anchoring at WIFR in Rockford, Illinois. Before beginning her on-air career, the Chicago native earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
A high school teacher encouraged her to give broadcast journalism a try, and an internship at FOX10 in Mobile solidified her love of storytelling. Her favorite stories to tell are human interest stories, especially ones concerning children.
Briana is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists.
When Briana’s not working, she enjoys running 5ks, dancing, online shopping and trying new restaurants.
